New Works by Brandon McVittie
New Works
Brandon McVittie December 18th - January 26th 2010 Vernissage : Friday December 18th 7:30 pm to 10:30pm Preview : Thursday December 17th 1pm to 3pm ARTGUISE GALLERY 590 BANK STREET OTTAWA ONTARIO CANADA
Artguise Gallery's Brandon McVittie concludes the year's schedule with a new body of landscape scenic work in the traditional earth palette that is typical of his oils. McVittie strives to evoke mood through atmosphere, colour and light while being loose and airy in his treatment. His paintings are layered; combining transparent and opaque values that are built up in stages to create depth. It is the painter's goal that the scenes transport the viewer to a nostalgic place without being literal nor specific to location.
Please join us opening night for an evening that will double as the Artguise Gallery Christmas party. All are welcome. Paul Saindon : New Works

Paul Saindon new works November 2009 featured artist November 6th - December 16th 2009
ARTGUISE GALLERY 590 BANK STREET OTTAWA ONTARIO CANADAArtguise Gallery is pleased to announce the second solo exhibit of new works by plein air painter Paul Saindon. Paul's new series examines the changing chroma of the seasons in both urban and natural contexts. Saindon realizes his dynamic compositions as sculptures of light, working in acrylics on location with the changing light. These pieces achieve realistic impressions of radiance while being loose and airy in their execution. Most of Paul's canvases are rendered on site, deftly executed with both his brushes and fingers. This exhibit of new works is a colourful farewell to the warm and airy autumn weather as we head in to the approaching winter months.

Kristy's current collection arrives at Artguise just prior to her departure for Florence, Italy after being awarded scholarship to study figurative painting. Her keen eye and mastery of colour captures her subjects in a contemplative light while achieving wonderfully sublime results. There lies an inherent honesty and purity in Kristy's painting as she refrains from embellishment and overstatement. Kristy's newest oil compositions are further evidence of her admiration for classical technique and discipline. We hope that you can join us opening night when the artist shall be in attendance. ARTGUISE GALLERY 590 BANK STREET OTTAWA ONTARIO CANADA Artguise Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of an exhibition of new works by artist Jennifer Noxon. Jennifer takes representational slices of the natural world and retools its randomness into tableaus of harmonious balance. The artist's combined passion for music and visual art is discernible where shape, line, tone and rhythm are realigned to construct a designed composition. She enters into an abstracted realm by interplaying two and three dimensional space with rich colour, sharpness of form and a contemporary approach. This exhibit represents the first show the painter has had with Artguise Gallery. Join us opening night when Jennifer will be in attendance. All are welcome.
